Al-Fakiki Economic Consulting Office is the first specialized consulting office providing economic advisory services. It is the first private Iraqi institution, independent from government and mixed sectors, to operate in this field.
It was officially founded by the late economic expert (Ali Mahmoud Al-Fakiki) in 1991 under the name (Ali Al-Fakiki Office for Economic Consulting). Since then, the office has been actively engaged in consulting activities. He was also among the founders of the Consulting Office of the Iraqi Industries Union until the year 2000, with the implementation of the Law on Non-Governmental Consulting Offices in Iraq, obtaining an official license from the Iraqi Ministry of Planning.
Today, under its new management and by leveraging accumulated practical and scientific expertise, human resources, and available material capabilities, our office has set its vision towards achieving noble goals in supporting the Iraqi economy, qualifying companies, proposing projects, and ensuring the optimal investment of public and private resources. Our team works diligently to prepare studies, research, and plans, and to provide economic proposals, continuing the office’s longstanding mission and objectives.
Over the years, the office has worked tirelessly to present proposals that helped mitigate the impact of shocks faced by the Iraqi economy due to wars, terrorism, and other challenges. It has exerted great efforts to achieve objectives by offering feasible project ideas and contributing to the drafting of supportive and purposeful economic laws. The office has also provided services to hundreds of local, foreign, and Arab investors, as well as dozens of institutions, authorities, companies, and governmental and private organizations, both local and international. In cooperation with many governmental bodies and private sector institutions in Iraq and across the Middle East, it has achieved dozens of notable accomplishments that stand as significant milestones.
